WWI Memorial Tower and LSU Parade Grounds
The beautiful WWI Memorial Tower and ever-popular LSU Parade Grounds rest in the very center of campus. Erected in 1923, the 175 foot clock tower still chimes every quarter hour, a sound beloved by the LSU community. The lush parade grounds at its feet are a favorite of picnickers, tailgaters and students who frequent the area to study or just take a break between classes. Hotel guests enjoy visiting the tower and its military museum as well as experiencing the energy of campus life on the parade grounds.
